台湾で記載された。日本では本州から沖縄本島に分布するほか、韓国、中国、ハワイからも記録がある。ネギ属に特異的に見られる。

This species was described from Taiwan. It is distributed from Honshu to Okinawa Island in Japan, and also recorded from Korea, China and Hawaii. It breeds specifically on cultivated Allium species.
